Independent Business Valuation and Appraisals, LLC. (IBVA) based in the front range of Colorado provides confidential, independent, unbiased, business valuations, machinery and equipment appraisals for small business owners and their professional advisors.

Michael A. Dougan, CBA, ASA, is the managing member of IBVA and has been involved in business valuations since 1981. As a certified appraiser, I am asked to help define the tangible and intangible asset values for privately-owned, family-owned, and closely-held businesses, professional practices, limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships.

Mr. Dougan earned his BA degree in Business from Adams State College, and held a Colorado Real Estate Sales license from 1986 to 1998 as a Business Broker. Mike also held the position of Marketing Director for Affiliated Business Consultants from 1990 to 1998. ABC is one of the largest "Business for Sale by Owner" marketing companies in the United States. This position required direct involvement with both buyers and sellers in negotiations of the transactions including valuation and appraisals of the businesses, projections of future value, deal structuring, financing options, and transaction completion.
